Philosophies

  • We believe that empowering girls to be strong, fit, and athletic woman will not only be important in their growth as a field hockey player, but will be important learning for the rest of their life

  • Sports have become more than just running wind sprints and weight lifting.  It takes a combination of endurance, speed, agility, power, and strength to be successful.  Mistakes will happen, that is sports! One’s fitness and ability to physically stay in the game and compete is something an athlete can control.  We will support our athletes in gaining and maintaining control of their fitness with our 5 pillars, while incorporating the skills and tactics of the game.

  • We believe fitness training should be challenging, yet FUN at the same time!

  • We believe fitness and physical ability is a crucial element of the sport that can set an athlete apart from others in the recruiting process.

  • We believe staying in-shape and strong are crucial to injury prevention of young athletes.

  • FHA strives to train our athletes to be in peak “hockey shape” – a specific type of training that only a hockey player knows best! Our team of fitness experts all have also played collegiate field hockey and will conduct each session to include intense fitness and field hockey skill training.

  • We believe in making strong and lasting relationships with our athletes and families, not only by training them, but helping our athletes to achieve their long-term goals by connecting them with the broader hockey network (high schools, clubs, and universities)

  • FHA strives to support and advance our athletes’ goals, no matter the size. We work with clients of all age ranges who simply love the game and want to get better.  We are here to help our athletes achieve their own personal definition of success.
